Did you finish that jar of pickles and you’re not sure what to do with that delicious leftover juice? Try these pickle-brined air fryer chicken tenders that are sure to be a hit at your table, guaranteed! The pickle juice gives the perfect hint of flavour that takes your ordinary tenders into something really special.
I like to use an air fryer to cook these because the chicken gets extra crispy. My trick is using a combination of panko and regular breadcrumbs. The regular breadcrumbs help coat the chicken thoroughly, while the panko provides the crispy pieces you’re looking for. They come out perfect every single time.
This pickle-brined air fryer chicken tenders recipe includes a resting time while the chicken is brined in the pickle juice, making it an ideal make-ahead meal.
